Founder and Leader of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Mr. Altaf Hussain has said that he had never taken any money or funds, whether directly or indirectly, from the ISI, the MI or any other agency, or any functionary or through or from Mr. Yousuf Memon Advocate. If Mr. Memon had taken any money from the agencies or Mr. Younus Habib, he should be held accountable so that the public money belonging to the poor people of Pakistan could be returned In his interview to the renowned private satellite television channel GEO, the former ISI Col. Akber has categorically confirmed Mr. Hussain's blanket refusal to accept any money from the Agencies, despite persistent insistence from the Agencies to receive such money. THE ONLY CRIME OF ALTAF HUSSAIN WAS THAT HE HAD SPURNED ALL ATTEMPTS BY THE AGENCIES TO BUY HIS CONSCIENCE
The spokesman of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) has stated unequivocally and in no uncertain terms, that Mr Altaf Hussain had never taken a single penny from the ISI, any other government agency or any other individual and there was no truth in the allegations levelled against him by certain people. The spokesman declared it was a fact that the government agencies had made numerous attempts to buy off Mr Hussain. In 1988 Brigadier Imtiaz of the ISI had brought money to Mr Hussain from General Hamid Gul but Mr Hussain had refused to take it. The Co-ordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) has said that the definite statement by colonel (retired) Akbar of the ISI is the truth that has exposed before the nation the highly prejudiced elements hurling unfounded and shameful allegations of taking money against Mr Altaf Hussain.
The Co-ordination Committee said that Mr Hussain and the entire leadership of the MQM had been saying constantly for the past 21 years before the media and at every other forum that Mr Hussain had not taken money from any government agency. It was highly unfortunate that the elements blindfolded by their enmity against the MQM persisted in making baseless allegations against Mr Hussain that he had taken money from the ISI in order to mislead public

He has demanded that the cruel persons involved in declaring the woman as kari should be brought to book and punished according to law.Mr Hussain has said that the barbaric acts of declaring innocent women as kari and the abhorrent custom of vani have revived the days of ignorance.
