KARACHI: 18TH MAY 2012
Coordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) has strongly condemned the killings of six MQM workers, including former elected representatives and several other innocent people in different areas of city in the past four days. The committee said that these incidents are part of a deep conspiracy to create bloodshed and lawlessness in the city and setting the people against each other.
The Co-ordination Committee regretted that while the MQM was working with restraint and patience at the killings of its workers, nothing substantial was being done by people and law enforcing agencies to check the rising tide of terrorism. They are standing by as silent spectators and the city has been left to the mercy of criminal elements. The terrorists were roaming freely and undermining peace and tranquility.
The Co-ordination Committee said that the terrorists and criminal elements had put the security of the country on stake but the MQM would not allow them to succeed in their vicious designs. The MQM would continue its peaceful struggle for establishing durable peace in city.
The Co-ordination Committee demanded of President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik and Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah to order investigation on the killing of six QM workers and other innocent people. The committee said that the criminals should be arrested as soon as possible.
The Co-ordination Committee extended sympathies to the bereaved families of the workers gunned down and prayed Almighty Allah to give courage and patience to bear the loss.
