Co-ordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) has welcomed the decision by the Sindh High Court for holding the Local Government elections within 90 days. The committee said that the decision of the high court would augur well for the progress and prosperity of the people as the local government system helps in solving their problems speedily and on priority basis.
The Co-ordination Committee said that the local government system was the beauty and strength of democracy. Every government was bound to hold the local government elections within the stipulated period of time but the public was facing untold problems in the absence of the local government system.
