MQM condemns the killing of senior lawyer MM Tariq Advocate

The Co-ordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) has strongly condemned the killing of senior lawyer MM Tariq Advocate and termed it an attempt to undermine peace of the city. It said that innocent citizens and people belonging to political and religious parties were being targeted and gunned down in order to destabilize the country.

The Co-ordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) has condemned the Punjab Police for using force against young doctors on hunger strike on the behest of the Punjab government. It said that the Punjab government should have found a solution of the problem by negotiating with the young doctors but it resorted to use of violence and arrested several doctors who were on strike.

Former provincial minister, member of the Sindh Assembly and distinguished orthopaedic surgeon was laid to rest in Paposhnagar graveyard amid sobs and tears. The funeral prayer was held in the Asghar Ali Shah Cricket Stadium, and the funeral prayer was led by prominent religious scholar Maulana Ahtaramul Haque Thanvi.

The funeral prayer of prominent orthopaedic surgeon, former MPA and provincial advisor Dr Muhammad Ali Shah will be held tomorrow after the Zuhr prayer in Asghar Ali Shah Stadium in North Nazimabad. The mortal remains of Dr Shah would be brought to the Karachi Airport via Emirates Airlines flight EK – 604. The Co-ordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) has appealed to haq parast public and workers to attend the funeral in large numbers.
