The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has welcomed former federal minister and PPP leader from Lyari Nabeel Gabol and thousands of his companions in the MQM. Mr Hussain said that Mr Gabol belonged to a respected political family that had been settled in Karachi even before the creation of Pakistan. He said that members of his family had been successful in elections from Karachi before the independence of the country.

The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has said that the PPP government would not have been able to complete even four months, let alone full five years, if the MQM had not extended unshakeable support to it.

The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has said that the Urdu-speaking should show some more patience just as they have been doing in the past.

He said, “If the high public offices of Sindh continue to be forbidden for the Urdu-speaking people, then the Co-ordination Committee and the Urdu-speaking Sindhis would be free and within their right to take any decision regarding their future.”

The Coordination Committees of both London and Pakistan which met on Thursday evening to discuss the situation arising out in wake of appointment of caretaker chief minister for Sindh. 

 Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s Coordination Committee’s Deputy Convener, Senator Mrs Nasreen Jalil, said here on Thursday  that MQM chief Altaf Hussain was determined for the empowerment of women as well as for restoration of their rights.

Deputy Convener of the Co-ordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Senator Mrs Nasreen Jalil has said that the success of the public meeting of the MQM in Mirpurkhas on 18 March on the occasion of the 29th Foundation Day of the MQM would pave the way for uprooting the archaic feudal system from the country. She was addressing a press conference at the venue of the main gathering that will be held in Mirpurkhas in connection with the foundation day celebrations of the MQM.
