MQM is working for peace, sectarian harmony and brotherhood The Co-ordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) has thanked the general public, religious scholars, transporters, and industrialists for taking part in the peaceful day of mourning observed by the MQM to express solidarity with the mourners of the Quetta tragedy. It said that the people have shown by closing their businesses voluntarily on the appeal of the MQM and sharing the grief of the mourners, that nobody could be allowed to demean humanity at any cost.

Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) observed a peaceful Day of Mourning today in order to express solidarity with the victims of the people martyred in Quetta and Sawat in deadly blasts. Gatherings for fateha and recitations of the Holy Quran were held in the MQM offices throughout the country. Black flags were raised at the MQM offices and business centres, and the general public voluntarily closed their business activities in order to express solidarity with the mourners and the victims.
