The mother of senior MQM worker Mr Nadeem Nusrat was laid to rest in Yasinabad graveyard today.TheFuneral prayer was held in the Bait-ul-Mukarram Masjid. Deputy Convener Mr Anis Qaimkhani and members of the Co-ordination Committee attended the funeral and burial. MQM ministers, elected representatives and office-bearers and workers of various wings of the MQM also attended the funeral of Mr Nusrat’s mother who had passed away inLondon.

He appealed to the Chief Justice of Pakistan Mr Justice Iftakhar Muhammad Chaudhry and other judges of the Supreme Court to review their judgment on the issue of dual nationality in the larger interest of the country and the nation.

A detailed and important meeting was held between President Asif Zardari and MQM Founder and Leader Mr Altaf Hussain in the Churchill Hotel in London. The meeting continued for nearly three and a half hours. Members of the Co-ordination Committee Mr Mustafa Azizabadi, Mr Muhammad Anwer and Mr Qasim Ali Raza accompanied Mr Hussain. Federal Interior Minister Mr Rehman Malik and Pakistan’s High Commissioner in the UK Mr Wajid Shamshul Hassan were also present in the meeting.

The Co-ordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement has appealed to the peaceful people of Sindh to thwart the vicious conspiracy by the so-called nationalists to ruin peace in Sindh by protests and strikes. It said that the representative political parties enjoying support of millions of people of Sindh had prepared a local government system in order to transfer power to the lowest levels.
The Co-ordination Committee said that the conscious people of Sindh knew it very well that the so-called nationalists work on the pay roll of the establishment, and they had always opposed any action which could benefit the people of Sindh. It said that the nationalist forces had not even been able to get a few hundred votes in elections or get a councilor elected.
