MQM holds demonstration outside British Parliament in order to express solidarity with the people of Palestine

UN and other international organizations must play their due role in resolving the conflict: Saleem Shahzad Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) organized a protest demonstration outside the UK Houses of Parliament today in order to express solidarity with the oppressed Palestinian people of Gaza. MQM workers hailing from different areas of London and sympathizers, including women and elderly people, took part in the demonstration. Members of the Co-ordination Committee of the MQM in London Mr Muhammad Ashfaque, Mr Saleem Shahzad and organizer of the MQM UK Dr Saleem Danish were also present on occasion.

MQM will observe Day of Solidarity with the oppressed people of Gaza today. Demonstration will be held all over Pakistan after Jumma prayers for the Solidarity with the people of Gaza. MQM founder & leader Mr. Altaf Hussain has appealed to the people of Pakistan to come forward and attend peaceful protest after Jumma prayers and show solidarity shoulder to shoulder with the innocent people of Palestine who are brutally killed, tortured, injured and displaced from their homes.

The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has deplored the deadly suicide blast in the procession of mourners on Misriyal Road in Dhoke Syedian area of Rawalpindi. Expressing his grief and sorrow on the martyrdom of several persons in the blast and injuring of many others, Mr Hussain said that if the killings of the mourners and other innocent people continued relentlessly, the fire of terrorism would engulf the entire country.

He was received at the secretariat by members of the Co-ordination Committee. Governor Khosa was accompanied by Pakistani High Commissioner in London Mr Wajid Shamsul Hassan and Community Welfare Officer of the Pakistani High Commission Mr Balkh Sher Khosa.
