The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has deplored the devastating bomb blast in Abbas Town in Karachi and expressed his deep sense of grief and sorrow on the deaths of innocent people. He said that the administration, police and law-enforcing agencies did not take any step to secure the area, although many people had died in an earlier blast in Abbas Town sometime back.
Condemning the blast, Mr Hussain said that the elements which were carrying out such barbaric acts were not even worthy of being called human beings.

He termed the incident a blatant attack on the freedom of the press and added that journalists were being gunned down in the country continuously.
