Serious steps should be taken to fight against terrorism and protecting people
The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has strongly condemned the twin bomb blasts near an imambargah in Orangi Town number 5 and termed it a blatant act of terrorism. He expressed his heartfelt grief and sorrow on the death of two persons and injuring of many including journalists and security personnel.
Mr Hussain said that the blasts in the month of Muharram in spite of heightened security were a cause of great concern and were aimed at deteriorating peace in the city. He said that the terrorists were targeting innocent people in the city under a planned conspiracy, and the blasts in Orangi Town were also a part of the same sinister conspiracy.
Mr Hussain sympathised with the families of the injured and those who lost their lives in the blasts. He said that serious steps should be taken to fight against terrorism and protecting the life and property of the people.
Mr Hussain appealed to the people to remain peaceful and frustrate the conspiracies to harm sectarian harmony and during Muharram by carrying out acts of terrorism.
Mr Hussain appealed to President Asif Zardari, Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, Interior Minister Rehman Malik and the Government of Sindh to take serious notice of the blasts in Orangi Town and expose the perpetrators and bring them swiftly to justice.
