MQM workers should use their energies for eliminating the corrupt political culture: Altaf Hussain

The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has directed the MQM office-bearers, workers and sympathizers to come forward and play their role for eliminating the corrupt political culture from the country. He asked them to work for making Pakistan strong by establishing a just and equitable system in the country. He was talking to members of the Co-ordination Committee and office-bearers of various wings of the MQM on the telephone.

Funeral held in Asghar Ali Shah Stadium in North Nazimabad Former provincial minister, member of the Sindh Assembly and distinguished orthopaedic surgeon was laid to rest in Paposhnagar graveyard amid sobs and tears. The funeral prayer was held in the Asghar Ali Shah Cricket Stadium, and the funeral prayer was led by prominent religious scholar Maulana Ahtaramul Haque Thanvi.

MQM Co-ordination Committee has appealed to people to attend the funeral in large numbers
The funeral prayer of prominent orthopaedic surgeon, former MPA and provincial advisor Dr Muhammad Ali Shah will be held tomorrow after the Zuhr prayer in Asghar Ali Shah Stadium in North Nazimabad. The mortal remains of Dr Shah would be brought to the Karachi Airport via Emirates Airlines flight EK – 604. The Co-ordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) has appealed to haq parast public and workers to attend the funeral in large numbers.

Mehfil-e-Zikr-e-Mustafa being held in Jinnah Ground tomorrow

Mehfil-e-Zikr-e-Mustafa will be held tomorrow in Jinnah Ground Azizabad in continuation of the birth celebrations of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) by the MQM. Prominent religious scholars of the country would shed light on noble life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and famous Naat Khawans would offer naats. Preparations for the programme have been finalized. The Co-ordination Committee has asked haq parast people and workers of the MQM to attend the programme in large numbers.

Members of the Co-ordination Committee express serious reservations on hurdles in the solution of public issues Joint meeting of the core committees of the MQM and the PPP would be convened soon to resolve pending issues Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik visited the International Secretariat of the MQM in London and met members of the Co-ordination Committee. Mr Malik inquired after the well-being of Mr Altaf Hussain on behalf of President Asif Zardari and prayed for his health. He praised the role of Mr Hussain in the completion of the five years of the democratic government and paid tribute to his statesmanship.

There is not a single district or Tehsil in Punjab where Muttahida Qaumi Movement's orgnisational structure did not exist, MQM Coordination Committee's deputy convenor Dr Farooq Sattar said here on Sunday at a large congregation organisised in connection with the party's South Punjab chapter's re-organisation.
