MQM extended public referendum in deference to the month of Moharram

The Co-ordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) has announced that the public referendum being held throughout the country on 14th November has been extended in deference to the month of Moharram. The decision  has been taken in a joint meeting of the Co-ordination Committee in London and Pakistan. Mr Altaf Hussain, the founder and leader of the MQM, has endorsed the decision of the Co-ordination Committee.

Senior members of the Co-ordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Mustafa Azizabadi, Mr Muhammad Ashfaq and Mr Qasim Ali Raza have denounced the statement by Qaumi Watan Party’s chairman Aftab Ahmed Sherpao that there were no Taliban in Karachi.
In a joint statement, the members of the Co-ordination Committee said that Mr Sherpao was trying to delude the people of Karachi and the entire nation by saying that Taliban were no present in Karachi. They said that the world knew as to who the elements were involved in attacks on defence installations, terrorism, violence, bloodshed and kidnappings for ransom in Karachi.

Terrorists want to create instability in the country by carrying out such cowardly attacks
The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has strongly condemned the suicide blast at the Rangers Headquarters in North Nazimabad in Karachi. He expressed his grief and sorrow on the martyrdom of two rangers and injuring of several other personnel.
He said that the terrorists wanted to create instability in the country by carrying out such cowardly acts in order to achieve their nefarious designs. He sympathized with the grieving families of the personnel martyred in the blast and prayed for the speedy recovery and well-being of the injured.
