He said this while talking to Governor Sindh Ishrat-ul-Ebad, Chief Secretary Sindh Raja Abbas, and IGP Sindh Fayyaz Leghari at the Governor House. Talking to the officials, he said that the police and security forces must organize on scientific lines in order to containing terrorism and protecting the lives of the people.
Gatherings were held throughout the country for offering fateha and recitation of the Holy Quran
The second death anniversary of the martyred convener of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Dr Imran Farooq was held today with reverence. Gatherings were held by the MQM throughout Pakistan for offering fateha and recitation of the Holy Quran in order to pay homage to the late leader.
The main gathering was held in Lal Qila Ground Azizabad. Dr Farooq’s parents Muhammad Farooq and Begum Raisa Farooq, his sisters and other family members were also present on the occasion.
The MQM Senators, MNAs and MPAs have announced to donate their one month’s salary for the families of the workers who were killed in the horrific fire in the ill-fated Baldia Town factory. This decision was taken in a joint sitting of the senators, the MNAs and the MPAs at the MQM headquarters in Azizabad. The elected representatives expressed their grief and sorrow on the loss of precious lives in the tragic fire incident and termed it a national tragedy. They also sympathized with the grief-stricken families. The elected representatives decided to donate their one month’s salary as token of their concern and to express solidarity with the affected families. They prayed Almighty Allah to shower his blessings on the deceased workers and prayed for the early recovery of the workers who had sustained injuries.
Federal government should order an inquiry on the arrival of infected sheep in PakistanThe Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) has expressed grave concerns on the arrival of infected sheep in Karachi from Australia. He has demanded the federal government to prohibit the selling of the infected sheep in Pakistan and send them back to Australia. He said that according to the reports of the medical tests conducted, the sheep were infected with disease and their meat was not fit for human consumption. He called for an inquiry into the arrival of infected sheep in Pakistan and said that they must be sent back in order to safeguard the people against diseases that may develop if their meat was consumed.
