Altaf asks for journalists’ safety

Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain demanded on Friday that special measures be taken to protect life and property of journalists across the country.
Addressing a crowded news conference by phone at Azizabad’s Lal Qila ground, Mr Hussain said that need of the hour was to protect life and property of journalists as a number of them had already lost their lives while performing their professional duties. He also prayed to Almighty Allah to protect all journalists.
Replying to newsmen’s queries, the MQM chief said that he was thankful to newsmen from the core of his heart as they despite leveling allegations against MQM also demonstrate their compassion towards the party by attending its programmes.
At the outset, Mr Hussain requested the members of both the print and electronic media to help him in creating among the masses across the country about his messages pertaining to the country’s solidarity and rule of law.
