Dr Farooq Sattar visits 8th International Book Fair being held in the Karachi Expo Centre

Deputy Convener of the Co-ordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) and Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis Dr Farooq Sattar visited Karachi Expo Centre in order to see the 8th Karachi International Book Fair. He went to the stall of the Literature Committee of the MQM on which books on the political struggle of Mr Altaf Hussain and the party literature were displayed. Former MNA Tayyab Hussain was also accompanying Dr Sattar. Speaking on the occasion Dr Sattar commended the efforts of Pakistan Publishers and Book Sellers Association and said that such positive steps would help in drawing the attention of young generation to book-reading. The stall of the MQM Literature Committee of the MQM drew a large number of visitors who showed keen interest in the party literature.

The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has strongly condemned the act of damaging graves in the Ahmadiyya graveyard in Lahore by some miscreants. He said that Islam teaches us to respect places of worship and graveyards of other religions and hence the act of damaging graves in Ahmadiyya graveyard is against the teachings of Islam, inhuman and worthy of strong condemnation. He urged on the Punjab Government to take serious notice of the incident and take stern action against the miscreants. He also sympathized with the people whose loved-one’s graves were damaged.
