Violence and terrorism cannot lower the courage and determination of the people supporting the MQM
The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has paid tribute to traders, industrialists, transporters, workers, students, and people across different spheres of life for observing a peaceful day of mourning in Karachi and the rest of Sindh against the killings of the MQM workers.
Mr Hussain said that the people of Sindh had shown by their proverbial unity against the killings of the MQM office-bearers, workers and an election candidate busy in election work that they strongly condemned the terrorism against the MQM.
The MQM was being subjected to the worst kind of terrorism in order to keep it away from the electoral process thereby depriving it of its constitutional and legal rights. It was highly unfortunate that the caretaker government and the election commission of Pakistan were not taking any notice of the rampant killings of the MQM workers. Apparently, the barbaric killers were given full freedom to play with the life and property of the people.
Mr Hussain said that the people had shown by their unity that their courage and determination cannot be lowered by killings, violence and terrorism.
He thanked the people for observing a peaceful day of mourning and said that it had become obvious that they were with the MQM. He also praised the MQM workers and sympathizers in the Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Kashmir for offering fateha and recitation of the Holy Quran for the martyrs… ENDS
