Unconstitutional, illegal and undemocratic tactics are being used to keep the MQM away from election
The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has appealed to the people to take the MQM’s election campaign in their hands and spread its message door-to-door. He said this while speaking at a condolence meeting held in London on Wednesday.
Condemning the deadly bomb blast at the MQM’s election office at Peoples Chowrangi in North Nazimabad area, Mr Hussain offered his deep sense of grief and sorrow on the killing and injuring of MQM workers and sympathizers and offered condolences with the bereaved family members. He was overcome by grief and his voice gave way while speaking about the MQM martyrs. He prayed for speedy recovery of the injured.
Mr Hussain said that the forces inimical to the MQM were targeting innocent MQM workers in order to keep it away from the election process. The persistent killings of the MQM workers for the past ten days brought back the memories of Qasba Aligarh tragedy of 1986 and the operation clean-up of 19th June 1992.
Mr Hussain said that unconstitutional, undemocratic, and illegal steps were taken against the MQM in order to restrict it from launching a massive election campaign.
Addressing the haq parast people, MQM leaders, workers and sympathizers, Mr Hussain said that his courage and determination were strengthened by them and God.
“You did not leave me alone in the past in difficult times and inspired the nation with your unity and gave me courage and determination. I am confident that the nation will not disappoint me even today.”
Mr Hussain appealed to the MQM workers and haq parast people to take the election campaign of the MQM in their hands and inform each and every women, youth and elder by going door to door and inform them about injustices being done and atrocities met by the MQM.In these circumstances it is the national responsibility of the righteous people to run the election campaign in a peaceful manor.
“We want to tell our enemies that our determination remains unshaken, and we are full of vigour and energy. We have made a pledge to Almighty Allah and the nation that we would not let the blood of the martyrs go to waste. i am confident that my mothers, sisters, elders, youths and students would not let me down even this time.May Allah guide us and help us!”
