MQM is working for interfaith harmony and social development: Altaf Hussain

Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) has said that the MQM has always strived for stability of democracy, political and interfaith harmony, and social development. The MQM believes in the principle of “live and let live” and considers all the people living in Pakistan belonging to various religions as equal citizens of Pakistan. He said this while talking to the visiting members of the Co-ordination Committee and ministers in the International Secretariat in London.

With more and more people using Twitter and Facebook, there is a need for ethical reporting in this hyper-connected world. These views were expressed by speakers in three sessions on first day of the Pakistan-India Social Media Mela here on Friday.

MQM condemns attack on the camp of security forces in Gujrat

The Co-ordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) has strongly condemned the attack on the camp of the security forces near River Chenab in Gujrat resulting in the death of seven soldiers. Expressing grief and sorrow on the death of soldiers the committee termed it an attack on the national integrity. It said that the terrorists were working on a vicious conspiracy to make Pakistan unstable.
