Altaf Hussain felicitates workers on the 26th years of formal political struggle
Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has felicitated the office-bearers, workers and supporters on the beginning of the 26th year of the formal political struggle of the MQM. Talking to the members of the Co-ordination Committee in London and Pakistan Mr Hussain said that the MQM had entered into the political field by organizing a massive public meeting in Nishtar Park on 8th August 1986 in Karachi.

The Co-ordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) has expressed its deep sense of grief and sorrow over the deaths of several persons in an explosion in a firecracker godown in the densely populated area of Hussain Agahi Chowk in Multan. The Co-ordination Committee said that the presence of a firecracker godown in the densely populated area was a criminal negligence on the part of the local administration. It was because of the dereliction of duty of the administration that innocent people died and got injured in the explosion.
