Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s Quaid Altaf Hussain has expressed deep concern and sorrow over the growing acts of sectarian violence in Karachi. He termed it a part of the conspiracy to start sectarian violence in the city.
Mr. Altaf Hussain said that for the past couple of years miscreants are carrying out target killings on regular basis in order to start a riot between Shia and Sunni people

Felicitating the leaders of Pakistan People’s Party, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and other parties on the victory of their candidates in Thursday’s by-elections, Muttahida Quami Movement chief Altaf Hussain said that his party respected the mandate of their parties and expected the same from them.
“At a time when the country was passing through a critical juncture it was incumbent upon us to accept the existence of each other,” he added.
Mr Hussain was speaking over phone at a huge gathering of MQM’s office-bearers, workers and sympathizers who had assembled at the party’s Zonal Office of Mirpurkhas to felicitate the party’s candidate Dr Zafar Ahmed Kamali on his election as Member of Sindh Assembly from PS-64 in Thursday’s by-poll.
