For International Media: MQM representatives work with Pakistani Government in the wake of Peshawar school massacre

Representatives of the Muttahida Quami Movement, one of Pakistan’s largest political parties, attended the all parties’ conference convened by the Pakistani Prime Minister today in the wake of the Peshawar attack.
MQM’s Parliamentary leader in the National Assembly Rashid Godil and Dr.Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui represented the party. Addressing the conference Rashid Godil said,

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Altaf Hussain on Tuesday has condemned the heinous attack on the Army Public School killing as many as 127 innocent students in Peshawar saying that it feels like his children have been snatched away from him.

MQM chief said that he feels extremely dejected at the Peshawar incident.

In a statement issued from London Secretariat, MQM Chief condemned the incident and termed it the blackest tragedy of the country’s history. He directed his party workers to announce a 3-Day mourning and abandoned all political activities.

The MQM Coordination Committee strongly condemned the arbitrary arrest and disappearance of member of Fact Finding Committee (FFC) and former Sector In-charge Rehan Akram by Sindh Rangers.
In a statement, the Committee said that Rehan Akram son of Mirza Ekram was arrested by Rangers personnel, when he was busy with routine work at his laboratory (MMS) near Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
