ELEMENTS INVOLVED IN SECTARIAN KILLINGS ARE PURSUING THEIR VICIOUS AGENDA

Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has deplored the bloodshed of innocent people in Quetta, Gilgit and Karachi in sectarian violence and termed it a conspiracy to drive a wedge between the followers of different schools of thought.

Mr Hussain said that the elements involved in instigating sectarian strife and killings of innocent people were working on a vicious agenda to spoil the environment of peace, harmony and brotherhood. Those fanning the fire of sectarian feuds were enemies of the country and must be dealt with strongly.

Police have recovered a large cache of arms containing hand grenades, rocket launchers and antiaircraft guns after raiding a house in Mochko area of Karachi west the other day. According to the SSP West, a huge cache of arms containing 100 hand grenades, 15 rocket launchers with mortars and antiaircraft guns have been recovered during a raid in Mochko area after receiving a tip-off.

It would also be in your knowledge that a number of innocent young people were kidnapped during the previous Ramadan by the criminals and antisocial elements. They were taken to torture cells located in different parts of Lyari and subjected to brutal and inhuman bodily torture. Their heads were chopped off and their bodies were stuffed in gunny sacks and dumped in different parts of Karachi. Several kidnapped persons were released from the captivity of the terrorists of Lyari gang war on the intervention of Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik.

GOOD EDUCATION IS THE MOST IMPORTANT NEED IN MODERN TIME
Professional Education is the sine qua non for the survival and progress of Pakistan and full attention will have to be given to the education along with defence for the national security. These views were expressed by Mr Tariq Mir at the inaugural function of Nazeer Hussain University (NHU) in Karachi.

Mr Mir is the President of NHU and founder and managing trustee of the Society for Unwell and Needy (SUN), an international welfare organization.

Mr Mir said that lack of proper education and ignorance was incongruous with the 21stcentury. He said that the NHU would prove to be a milestone in the progress and advancement of the country.

He declared that if Pakistan was to become prosperous and strong, the legitimate rights of the Sindh province would have to be granted.

Mr Hussain was addressing a mammoth gathering in Al-Mustafa Ground Hyderabad on the occasion of the 28th Foundation Day of the MQM. There was a sea of people at the venue of the jalsa. People were even standing on the roofs of the building adjacent to the ground and waving the MQM flags.

HYDERABAD: At its 28th Yom-e-Tasees, the first to be celebrated in Hyderabad, the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain reiterated his battle cry to continue the struggle against feudalism and ‘uncontrolled’ capitalism. He called upon the Sindhis to stop voting for the feudal lords who consider poor peasants their slaves, asking the provincial assembly to legislate to give them the status of ‘industrial labour’.

“MQM wants to liberate Sindhi, Punjabi and Baloch brothers from slavery. I request my Sindhi brothers not to trust the feudals and the pseudo nationalists who are on payroll of the agencies,” said Hussain while addressing a public meeting via telephone on Sunday at Bagh-e-Mustafa ground.

HYDERABAD / KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain has stressed the need for unity among people and appealed to writers, intellectuals and journalists of Sindh to play their role in eliminating differences between the old and new Sindhis.

“I also urge my Sindhi brothers that MQM is your own party…come join it,” he said in his telephone address from London to a large public meeting in Hyderabad’s Bagh-i-Mustafa area on Sunday night to mark the party’s 28th foundation day.

A large number of MQM workers, including women, also gathered in Karachi’s Lal Qila ground to listen to Mr Hussain’s speech, which was simultaneously aired in 31 other places across the country.

MQM JALSA IN HYDERABAD WOULD BE REVERBERATED IN THE CORRIDORS OF POWER IN ISLAMABAD

Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has said that end of the oppressive feudal and chieftain system near, and the 28thfounding day would prove to be the last nail in the coffin. He said this while talking to the workers busy in making preparation for the programme in Al-Mustafa Ground, Hyderabad.

Mr Hussain said that the immense sacrifices rendered by the workers and people of Hyderabad for the movement would never be forgotten. The workers chanted slogans to express their joy and enthusiasm.

Mr Hussain said that the zeal and energy being shown by the people belonging to the poor and middle classes in Hyderabad and the adjoining towns and villages was highly promising. He hoped that the MQM candidates would get significant victory in the coming elections.

Mr Hussain said that the historic gathering on the occasion of the founding day of the MQM would have its reverberations in the corridors of power in Islamabad. The tyranny of the feudal lords would end soon.

Mr Hussain said that humanity was the common factor transcending the barriers of religion, and it was the main reason that a large number of people belonging to different faiths were joining the MQM.

Mr Hussain praised the workers busy in work and particularly appreciated the spirit of the women workers. He advised the workers to maintain exemplary discipline and take particular care of mothers and sisters.
