Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has congratulated prominent human rights activists Mr Ansar Burney on being conferred the Sitara-i-Imtiaz in recognition for his outstanding services for protecting human rights. He was talking to Mr Burney on the telephone.
Mr Burney told Mr Hussain that the wives of Indian hostages on the ship MV Suez were coming to Pakistan for thanking Governor Sindh and everyone else for making efforts to get the ship and the hostages released from the captivity of the Somali pirates. He said that this indicated that animosities between the two countries were subsiding, and brotherhood was increasing.
Mr Hussain hailed the news and prayed for improved and cordial relations between India and Pakistan.
