Rabita Committee condemns the transfer of MQM’s captive workers to jails of other provinces

The government must take notice of the transfer of prisoners and allay the concerns of the family members of workers immediately
MQM’s Rabita Committee has strongly condemnation the transfer of MQM’s captive workers from Sindh’s Jails to other provinces. They have termed the government’s action a part of state repression which has been going for a long time.

The Founder and Leader of MQM Mr Altaf Hussain has made a demand to the President Mamnoon Hussain, Prime Minister Nawaz Shareef, Army Chief Gen Raheel, DG ISI Zaheer-ul-Islam, Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and Chief Minister Sindh for the recovery of MQM workers who have been arrested and put in illegal detention by different government agencies.

Another MQM worker Mohammed Adil died in hospital due to torture in custody by Rangers in Karachi. MQM worker Mohammed Adil was tortured by a baton on his head during arrest. Mohammed Adil was arrested on 8 February from North Karachi by Rangers.He was brutally tortured during custody and handed over to his family in critical condition. Mohammed Adil was on ventilator for two days in Abbasi Shaheed hospital in critical condition. Mohammed Adil died due to head injuries and blood clothing in the brain .
