Altaf Hussain urges PPP, PML-N and other party leaders to respect mandate of each other

Felicitating the leaders of Pakistan People’s Party, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and other parties on the victory of their candidates in Thursday’s by-elections, Muttahida Quami Movement chief Altaf Hussain said that his party respected the mandate of their parties and expected the same from them.
“At a time when the country was passing through a critical juncture it was incumbent upon us to accept the existence of each other,” he added.
Mr Hussain was speaking over phone at a huge gathering of MQM’s office-bearers, workers and sympathizers who had assembled at the party’s Zonal Office of Mirpurkhas to felicitate the party’s candidate Dr Zafar Ahmed Kamali on his election as Member of Sindh Assembly from PS-64 in Thursday’s by-poll.

Describing the grand victory of Muttahida Quami Movement’s candidates in Thursday’s by-elections as `unprecedented and exemplary’, the party chief Altaf Hussain attributed it to the success of all Haq Parast people of the country.
“Karachiites and people of Sindh by electing Haq Parast candidates have proved that the MQM has deep and strong roots among the urbanites of Sindh”, he added.

By-elections on 41 National and Provincial Assembly seats across country: Polling Time Ends

With announcement of Election Commission not to extend polling time, polling in by-elections, on forty-one National and Provincial Assemblies seats across the country, officially ends.
Polling in NA-254, PS-95, PS-103 Karachi and PS-64 Mirpurkhas remained peaceful, with huge turnout of voters throughout the day. Polling camps of MQM remained crowded in these areas.
