MQM wants LG polls in the light of judiciary's verdict

Muttahida Qaumi Movement's Coordination Committee has once again demanded immediate convening of local government elections LG elections in Sindh in the light of higher Judiciary's verdict so as to help solve the lingering problems of people of the province which, it added, have not only increased but have been multiplying with each passing day.
Voicing  is concern over dilapilated conditions of roads and streets and deteriorating health and hygiene situation across the provice including karachi, MQM coordination committee in its statement issued on Monday,said that "the resolution of such an alarming situation lies only in holding timely and peacefull local government pollls as the continuity of a strong  democratic system becomes meaningless without having elected local bodies representatives."
"One cannot even think of a strong and stable democratic goverment without local goverment elections", the MQM coordination committee said that though it was expected from Sindh goverment that it would have ensured conduct of LG polls in a free, fair and transparent manner, the government through its measures was giving an impression as if it was not serious, at all, in holding the the LG election in the province.
