09 Sep 2015     Views: 4117

Mr Altaf Hussain is Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement which represents the poor, lower, middle-class and downtrodden millions of people.
Government of Pakistan instructed Pakistan Electronic Media and Regulatory Authority PEMRA (Secretly & Covertly) has put a ban on Mr Altaf Hussain speeches and has ordered not be televised, telecast or publish in print media and other magazines.
Mr Altaf Hussain is the founder and leader of Muttahida Quami Movement and under his leadership MQM has won Karachi and Hyderabad, the two largest cities of province of Sindh in local bodies elections consecutively in 1987 and 2005 and got Mayors and Deputy Mayors elected. Similarly in general elections of 1988, 1990, 1993, 1997, 2002, 2008 and 2013 MQM maintained its heavy mandate and emerged as third largest party of Pakistan and second party of the province of Sindh.
MQM is against religious extremism, Jihadi outfits and very vocal against them in Pakistan and has always condemned these Jihadi outfits,  Taliban, Al Qaida, Daish and Boko-Haram.
Several Assassination attempts were made on his life while He was in Pakistan. Altaf Hussain upon the advice of Central Committee came to London in 1992 and since then he is living in exile and successfully running his party from London. Thousands of MQM workers have been murdered and thousands are still languishing in jails in Pakistan and hundreds are still missing. Now the government has adopted a policy on complete ban on Mr Hussain's political activities.
We request all human rights organisations of the world to raise their voice against this unjust  decision by the Lahore High Court for banning the voice of Mr Altaf Hussain, which is illegal and unconstitutional.

 Thanks & regards
