Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain has said that the act of holding only General Pervez Musharraf responsible for enforcing emergency or martial law in the country with an attempt to save his collaborators amounted to a conspiracy not only against one person but against the entire country.
“If it is necessary to try Gen Pervez Musharraf under Article 6 then it should be initiated since Oct 12, 1999, instead of November 3, 2007 and not only Gen Musharraf but all those who abetted be tried,” he added.

Hailing the speech of Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s chief Altaf Hussain delivered on Sunday at Gulshan-i-Iqbal’s Aladin ground, people belonging to different walks of life termed it a voice of oppressed people of the entire country including that of Sindh.

Members of MQM Rabita Committee Dr. Farooq Sattar, Ashfaq Manghi, Yusuf Shawani and Aslam Afridi have said that today’s mammoth public gathering not only kicks off campaign for local Government election campaign but also starts off a decisive struggle against injustices.
