MQM Founding Leader Altaf Hussain welcomes former rival Tariq Chaudhry
“We were led to pursue a misleading path against Altaf Bhai. Altaf Bhai is an incredible person,” remarks Tariq Chaudhry.

Representatives from different groups came together in London to celebrate the 73rd birthday of the founder and leader of MQM, Altaf Hussain. One of the attendees was Tariq Chaudhry, the head of the Pakistan Patriotic Front, who used to be a fierce critic of Altaf Hussain and had taken part in protests near his home.
When Altaf Hussain noticed Tariq Chaudhry at the event, he asked him to come up to the stage. Tariq Chaudhry hugged Altaf Hussain and wished him a happy birthday.
During his speech, Tariq Chaudhry expressed, “Honestly, we were led to pursue an incorrect path regarding Altaf Bhai. When I understood our error, I appeared on TV and apologized to Altaf Bhai. He welcomed me with open arms. Altaf Bhai is an amazing person.”
Tariq Chaudhry also shouted, “Long live Altaf Bhai.”
On this special day, British legal specialist and think tank member Imran Bashir took to the stage, hugged Altaf Hussain, and wished him a happy birthday. He gave Altaf Hussain a framed document aimed at stopping hatred towards the Muslim community in Britain and encouraging peace and unity.
Altaf Hussain expressed his gratitude for the effort and thanked him.
During the event, Syed Tasneem Haider, who leads Anjuman Sadat UK, expressed his best wishes to Altaf Hussain on his 73rd birthday, stating, “The whole country is eager for Altaf Bhai’s guidance and is united with Altaf Bhai. We hope he has a wonderful birthday.”
