This aggressive move by the United States is a provocation that could ignite a Third World War
Political and military leadership in Pakistan must come together to safeguard the nation's survival and security
—————————————-
The assault by the United States on Venezuela, along with the capture of President #NicolasMaduro and his wife, is not merely a flagrant infringement on the territorial integrity of a free, sovereign nation. It also constitutes a serious violation of the
Charter and international law as a whole.
When the United Nations was formed, its Charter explicitly prohibited any country from infringing on the independence or territorial integrity of another sovereign state, emphasizing the obligation to respect such sovereignty.
However, the U.S. military's operation against Venezuela on January 3, 2026, including the abduction of Maduro and his wife to the United States, starkly contradicts this foundational principle of the UN Charter.
This aggressive move by the United States is a provocation that could ignite a Third World War. Colonialism and imperialism have been largely dismantled worldwide, prompting nations everywhere to voice serious concern regarding the kidnapping of the Venezuelan leader and his wife, denouncing the U.S. attack as a blatant act of aggression. Expressions of outrage and protests against this incident are not limited to #Venezuela; they are being witnessed globally.
The occurrence, especially in the context of UN oversight, casts deep doubts about the UN's credibility and relevance as an institution.
While the UN Secretary-General and representatives from various countries criticized this aggression during a Security Council meeting, a pressing doubt arises: if the Security Council were to issue a resolution condemning the U.S. action, would the United States simply veto it?
It is now crucial to observe how the United Nations will respond, as this act has significantly undermined respect for the autonomy and sovereignty of nations worldwide.
The U.S. military action and the abduction of Venezuela’s President illustrate to world powers like China and Russia, along with countries across the Western Hemisphere, South Asia, Central Asia, Africa, and beyond, a troubling precedent where they too might consider military actions against neighboring states based on their own strength.
If another nation were to replicate the United States' actions, would America or others around the globe have the legitimacy to denounce it?
For instance, if China were to act similarly towards Taiwan, or Russia were to make a move against Ukraine, would the international community deem that act illegal?
This occurrence raises significant threats to the stability and security of Pakistan as well. Consequently, in this pivotal moment, it is essential for all political leaders and influential institutions to collaborate to ensure the preservation and security of #Pakistan.
The urgent requirement is to convene the entire political and military leadership to develop a comprehensive strategy to address the challenges confronting Pakistan's sovereignty.
I urge the leaders of Pakistan, both political and military, as well as all those in positions of power, to come together to evaluate the present circumstances.
It is essential to thoughtfully assess the policy of fostering animosity with multiple nations in pursuit of a close alliance with just one.
In the interest of our nation, I am willing to provide my full support without any conditions on this matter.
