MQM will observe Day of Solidarity with the oppressed people of Gaza today. Demonstration will be held all over Pakistan after Jumma prayers for the Solidarity with the people of Gaza.
MQM founder & leader Mr. Altaf Hussain has appealed to the people of Pakistan to come forward and attend peaceful protest after Jumma prayers and show solidarity shoulder to shoulder with the innocent people of Palestine who are brutally killed, tortured, injured and displaced from their homes.

The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has deplored the deadly suicide blast in the procession of mourners on Misriyal Road in Dhoke Syedian area of Rawalpindi. Expressing his grief and sorrow on the martyrdom of several persons in the blast and injuring of many others, Mr Hussain said that if the killings of the mourners and other innocent people continued relentlessly, the fire of terrorism would engulf the entire country.

In his statement Mr. Hussain said that now the time has come that Muslim umma should choose their brave, courageous, honest leaders. Who only have the fear of God and no one else? We request that all the Pakistanis should show solidarity shoulder to shoulder with the innocent Palestinian who are brutally killed, tortured, injured and displaced from their homes.

Altaf Hussain has endorsed the decision of the Co-ordination Committee to observe the Solidarity Day Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) will observe Friday 23 November, the 8 Muharram according to the Islamic Calendar as the Solidary Day with the helpless people of Gaza. Peaceful demonstrations will be held after the Friday prayers by the MQM in order to express solidarity with the oppressed and helpless people of Gaza. This decision was taken in a meeting of the Co-ordination Committee. Mr Altaf Hussain, the founder and leader of the MQM, has endorsed the decision to observe the solidarity day.

He said that there was complete harmony between the people in the country, especially in the province of Sindh, but some elements magnifying differences by resorting to violence and bloodshed. He said that their actions were highly condemnable and aimed at harming the unity of the people.
