Karachi Mayor was elected today on June 15, 2023. Per the media reports and analyses, I reached the conclusion that it wasn't the Mayor's election but a tricky hotch-potch. Almost a quarter of the PTI ‘s elected local body members' strength was forcibly disenfranchised. Jamaat-e-Islami

local body elected members were forcibly restricted from participating the election for Karachi Mayor. His claim seems valid. The 30 elected members of the PTI remained missing the whole day. The Election Commission's role in this context was also deplorable. The whole process of the election of Karachi Mayor remained somewhat fishy and hence it would be quite appropriate for the Election Commission to declare the election of Karachi #Mayor null and void. Democracy was absolutely smothered today. The entire process has to be conducted ab initio. What type of democracy and what type of elections are these that a particular political party is suppressed and its elected members are abducted and intimidated in order that they accept they policy if the tyranny and thus they either part ways of stay disenfranchised. This is nothing but misuse of authority to corner a selective political party and its elected representatives which I condemn. The residents of #Karachi must also remember that the people responsible for the current desperate situation in Karachi are the traitors of the Muhajir nation.
