AJK govt. says no ban on Altaf Hussain’s speeches

AJK govt. says no ban on Altaf Hussain’s speeches
 Posted on: 4/20/2016
The government of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) finally issued an explanatory statement about the illogical ban on MQM’s Chief Mr. Altaf Hussain’s speeches and interviews although during the February, it was announced and propagated that the said ban was imposed.

Meanwhile, the AJK leadership of Muttahida Quami Movement thoroughly appreciated the government’s move and termed it the success of truth and rights. MQM’s Parliamentary Leader in AJK Assembly Tahir Khokar filed a petition against the ban. He stated in his petition that the ban imposed by the Prime Minister was sheer violence of human rights and trespassing of the Constitution of Pakistan.

Tahir Khokar also gave a 48-hour ultimatum to the Prime Minister to issue an immediate notification to clear the ban conundrum about MQM Chief’s speeches. He thanked the Prime Minister for taking immediate notice and clear all the ambiguities about the issue through proper notification.

He said that through such false propaganda and disinformation some conspiring elements were trying to affect MQM’s elections campaign. He said MQM is one of the largest political parties in the country and represented the 98 percent of the poor and unprivileged people for the provision of their rights.
