On August 18, 2026, a group of three judges from the Supreme Court directed that Imran Khan, the founder of PTI, be moved to Shifa International Hospital within 48 hours. Yet, this direction from the Supreme Court was not followed. Imran Khan and his supporters have been facing prison time and difficulties for the last three years.
Is PTI involved in a violent fight to get what they want? If they aren't, then why are they facing such unfair and harsh treatment?
When rules were placed on protests and crowd events of the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM), which is headed by Manzoor Pashteen, did Manzoor Pashteen or any other leader from PTM ever ask for a fight with weapons during their public events?
Has Dr Mahrang Baloch who is a leader of the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC), ever declared a fight with weapons at any of her public events to make her requests known?
The most recent case is Azad Kashmir. Under the name of Kashmir, the leaders and influential people in Pakistan, including political and religious groups, especially the military, have made untrue commitments and continually gave guarantees to the people. At this time, the citizens of Kashmir are demonstrating for basic needs like flour, power, and jobs. When their rightful requests were ignored, the younger generation in Kashmir created the Public Joint Action Committee and brought forth 38 requests.
When Kashmiri people were protesting for their rights, their march was shot at, which led to over 100 individuals losing their lives and thousands more being hurt. The president and other officials from the Action Committee were taken into custody and locked up.
Did the heads of the Joint Action Committee ever declare that they would take up arms to receive what they wanted? Absolutely not. Nobody declared a fight with weapons. In the same way, the MQM has never called for breaking away from Pakistan.
Even with this information, it is important to recognize the stance taken by the government, state bodies, and intelligence services regarding these political and community groups.
What actions is the military taking against Imran Khan, the head of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf and the previous Prime Minister?
The military detained Imran Khan by smashing the doors and windows of a courtroom, pulled him away by his collar, locked him up, and made him go through mental distress.
Today, when the Supreme Court decided that Imran Khan should be moved to Al Shifa International Hospital for health care, what actions did the government take?
The PTI claims that the government has put Imran Khan in jail. If the Supreme Court gives a command, does the government have the authority to continue holding him?
The main issue is: what steps is the PTI leadership taking regarding this matter?
Besides the protest on November 26, where the army shot at PTI supporters and many lost their lives, PTI has not organized any major protests. During that incident, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur deserted the area, leaving the workers behind and running away.
Since that time, PTI has not conducted any successful protests, but they still claim that "the military belongs to us."
PTI supporters might shout loud phrases in favor of Imran Khan, yet in these past three years, Imran Khan has lost vision in one eye, and not one leader from PTI has stepped forward to help him find justice.
Even though Imran Khan’s sisters have asked many times, no leader or chosen official has visited Adiala Jail, while his sisters have had to deal with the police force on their own.
When the government did not move Imran Khan to Al Shifa Hospital, even after the Supreme Court's command on August 18, why didn't any leader from PTI submit an emergency request to the Supreme Court?
Imran Khan allegedly informed his sister that he was experiencing mental distress in jail, that he was isolated from others, and that there were plans to harm him in prison similar to what happened to the former Egyptian President Muhammad Morsi.
What actions are the PTI leaders taking in response to this situation?
What duties do PTI parliament members and ministers have? They are part of the assemblies not because of their own abilities; it's because of Imran Khan.
I urge PTI supporters to stop depending on their leaders who are swayed by political convenience. Instead, they should take charge of the leadership themselves.
PTI supporters need to realize the sadness of Imran Khan’s sister, Dr. Uzma Khan, who cried as she spoke about the pain and mistreatment that Imran Khan is said to be facing while locked up.
I call on PTI supporters to take action to protect Imran Khan from being harmed in prison like Muhammad Morsi. Free Imran Khan from jail. Protect his life.
