I am prepared to offer my full support to Field Marshal Asim Munir to assist in fixing the country's system. Altaf Hussain
....................
Pakistan may seem like a free nation, but how many of us can say we are really free? The citizens of Pakistan are not just animals, and we need to fight for real freedom. In the past, we were under the rule of the white British, and now the black British have taken over Pakistan. Former Prime Minister Imran Khan often mentioned this in his talks, which is why the supporters of Pakistan Tehreek-e Insaf chant, “We will gain our freedom.”
In Pakistan, Imran Khan, Altaf Hussain, Baloch people, Pashtuns, Sindhis, Muhajirs, and Kashmiris are being called disloyal. If this is true, then who gets to be called loyal to the nation? The well-known Pashtun leader Bacha Khan was also labeled as disloyal. In 1986, when I spoke at the first political gathering of the MQM at Nishtar Park in Karachi, I stated that I believed Bacha Khan and Sain G M Syed were not disloyal but instead were heroes of freedom.
Today, every aware person in Pakistan is recognizing that we have learned a twisted version of our nation’s past.
When Imran Khan, the founder of PTI, called for true freedom, he was jailed as a result. He has been locked up in Adiala Jail for the last three years. The big question is: what are the PTI officials in the Senate, National Assembly, and provincial assemblies doing after getting their positions to help free Imran Khan?
Today, individuals from all areas and speakers of various languages are clearly stating that, while Pakistan might seem like a self-governing nation, its citizens do not enjoy true freedom. For this reason, I urge those in power and influential groups in the nation: please, for the sake of all that is good, pay attention to the people's concerns and see it as a serious message from a higher power. Do not distance the people from Pakistan, and put an end to the oppressive and forceful rule in the nation.
I would like to know from the people of Pakistan: what do you think is the answer to the current situation in the country?
May God give our organizations the insight and strength to think and comprehend. Pakistan is owned by its organizations just like it is owned by its citizens. Please have discussions with political groups.
Instead of making tensions worse, talk with those you have issues with and clarify what rights the organizations and citizens hold according to the Constitution of Pakistan. Instead of fighting each other, every organization and every person should act within their own constitutional boundaries.
I am willing to provide my complete support to Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir. If I get the chance, I am ready to go to Baloch, Pashtun, Kashmiri, Sindhi, and every other community. I am open to discussions with all political and religious groups, as well as the entire military leadership.
Many people have already lost their lives due to fights and disagreements. It is time for us to rethink our strategies. Personally, I do not wish to be President or Prime Minister.
Yesterday, I stood against the old and unfair system, and I am standing against it today too. I will keep fighting against it until the nation’s system is fixed.
My fight is for the importance of the Constitution and laws in the nation, for a just system to be created, and for every organization to function according to its constitutional boundaries. We need a strict approach to get rid of corruption in the country.
I desire changes to the Constitution, or maybe even creating a completely new one, based on what the citizens want to help the country and its residents thrive and succeed. I am willing to help with this goal. If the plan I suggested is put into action and adjustments to the Constitution are made, the system can be enhanced.
If a person decides to enforce martial law to free Pakistan from criminals and looters, Altaf Hussain would back this action, but it should only last for a limited time and the individual should not stay in power forever. Altaf Hussain is in favour of democracy and opposes dictatorship. Nevertheless, just like in Islam where something usually not allowed can be accepted in special situations to protect a human life, if an action is banned but becomes vital for the safety and well-being of the country and its people, it could also be accepted.
I am not a landowner or a powerful chief. I come from a working-class background and I am part of the lower and middle-income groups. I started the MQM, and people from my party have been elected to the Senate, National Assembly, and provincial assemblies. However, I have never run for an election myself, nor have I encouraged any of my family members to run for election.
I aim to get rid of the old feudal and wadera system in Pakistan. Because of this fight, I have lived away from my country for 34 years, but I have never given up my beliefs and values in the past, and I will not do so in the future.
The MQM strives for a system in Pakistan where every person has the same rights, no matter their religion, ideology, sect, or belief.
The MQM aims to encourage acceptance of different religions in Pakistan and holds the view that all non-Muslim citizens, including Ahmadis, deserve equal opportunities to live and practice their faiths without hindrance.
We desire that all non-Muslim citizens in Pakistan are allowed to follow their own religions and beliefs, reflecting the message shared by Quaid-e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah to the Constituent Assembly on August 11, 1947. No individual should face bias or unfair treatment because of their religion.
