Filing charges against youth who are participating in peaceful demonstrations, rather than capturing the murderers of Shaheed Mir Raza Ali, is disgraceful: Altaf Hussain

Several weeks have gone by since the slaying of young businessman Mir Raza Ali in Karachi, but the authorities have not yet found or caught his murderers.

Members of Generation Z have been holding daily peaceful demonstrations at places like Shah Faisal, Nursery, Teen Talwar, Burns Road, and other areas, asking for the capture of those who killed him.

Rather than apprehending the landowners and influential figures believed to be involved in the crime, the Sindh government has filed a police report against the young individuals who are protesting peacefully. This is very shocking.

What is really going on in this nation? If we can't call this an obvious breach of the Constitution and the law, then what else would it be labeled as?

The assassins of Shaheed Mir Raza Ali are the wealthy landowners and local leaders of Sindh.

They own large homes in areas like Defence and Clifton, along with guesthouses in the cities and grand houses in their villages.

However, for the last 80 years, the underprivileged people of Sindh have continued to be laborers and farmers working for these wealthy landlords and local leaders, and this has essentially become the fate of the impoverished population of Sindh.

The government of the Pakistan People's Party is filing terrorism charges against young people in Karachi instead of capturing the people accused of killing Shaheed Mir Raza Ali. This seems to be an effort to stop youth from peacefully protesting for the capture of the murderers.

Offering rewards for Baloch women's lives, allowing a military officer's wife to cause chaos, stopping Baloch women from peacefully protesting, and pressing terrorism charges against the youth in Karachi are actions of harshness and violence.

Nations cannot endure through such harsh and unfair methods.

I urge the young people of Karachi: Never let the dishonest tricks of the PPP government scare you. Stay strong, be brave, and support each other, while keeping up your peaceful protests until those responsible for the death of Shaheed Mir Raza Ali are taken into custody.
