KARACHI: Bodies of a political party’s three activists were recovered from an abandoned car here on Monday. Police found bodies of three of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM)’s activists from a car abandoned at Mirza Adam Khan Road within the limits of Chakiwara police station. According to reports, the bodies were put in gunny bags and left in a car parked in suspicious condition. Police checked the car on suspicion and found three bodies, which were then sent to the Civil Hospital Karachi. The victims were identified as 35-year-old Hassan Raza, Ijtiba Khan, 40 and Atif Usmani, 40. All of them were the residents of Sector 7-D, North Karachi. They left homes two days ago to dine with a friend Mubeen at Bakra Hotel, Kharadar before being kidnapped. The whereabouts of Mubeen could not be ascertained till filing of this report. SSP South Asif Ejaz Sheikh said that a police party had cordoned off the area for Mubeen’s recovery. He further said that two bodies were found lying in the car’s front seats, while the third one was recovered from its trunk, adding that all of them had torture marks. The car was reportedly snatched from Ferozabad area, SSP Sheikh said. All of them were the workers of MQM’s Unit 133-A, North Karachi sector.
