KARACHI: Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) chief, Altaf Hussain has strongly condemned the bomb blast at the ANP office in Quaid-i-Awam Colony and termed it a continuation of terrorism against moderate and enlightened political forces in the country.
In a statement issued here, Hussain said that the barbaric killers wanted to deprive liberal and enlightened political forces in the country of their democratic, constitutional and legal rights.
MQM leader said that the attacks on the MQM and ANP offices had raised several questions on the holding of free and transparent elections in the country.
He sympathized with the ANP leaders and workers and said that the elements spilling the blood of innocent of people were, in fact, enemies of the humanity.
Hussain demanded of the Election Commission of Pakistan to take serious note of the terrorist attacks on the election offices of liberal and enlightened political parties.
Altaf Hussain called for effective measures to protect the life and property of common people.
He prayed for the departed soul’s speedy recovery of the ANP workers injured in the blast.
