Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain
has clarified that he had not made any demand for separation of Karachi
from Pakistan. He denied in unequivocal terms all the baseless
allegations and said, “I would request all those who are accusing to
obtain the CD of my address from Nine Zero and see my points in the
light of the context in which I was speaking and then given their
comments.”

Deputy Convener of the Co-ordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) and candidate from NA – 249 Dr Muhammad Farooq Sattar has said that the worst kind of rigging was being done at the polling stations of NA – 248 and NA – 249. Polling was being deliberately slowed in some areas while elements of Lyari gang war had taken over polling stations.
