A grand flag hoisting ceremony was held at  Mr. Altaf Hussain’s residence ‘Nine Zero’
Participants of the ceremony prayed to Allah to rid the country of religious extremism, internal differences, economic and political crisis.

A grand flag hoisting ceremony was held at Mr. Altaf Hussain’s residence ‘Nine Zero’ by Muttahida Qaumi Movement on the occasion of 67 Independence Day of Pakistan.  MQM’s Deputy Conveners Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui and Dr. Nusrat started the event by hoisting the flag on behalf of Mr. Hussain and congratulated the nation on the Independence Day.
Members of the Rabita Committee Ahmed Salim Siddiqui, KahafAlwara, Arif Khan Advocate, Gulfaraz Khan Advocate, TauseefKhanzada and Ms. Mumtaz Anwar, elected representatives of provincial and national assemblies, office bearers of different wings and people attended the flag hoisting ceremony in large numbers.
Participants of the ceremony prayed to Allah to rid the country of religious extremism, internal differences, economic and political crisis. They prayed for the unity among all communities, groups and ethnicities in the country. They also prayed for the solution of problems faced by people of the country. They prayed for the success of ongoing operation ‘Zarb-e-Azb’ against terrorists in the tribal areas.  They especially prayed for the officers and jawans of armed forced of Pakistan and victims of terrorism. They prayed to Allah to give them high places in Jannah. The participants congratulated one another on the occasion of ‘Independence Day’ and distributed sweets.
