The MQM would continue to support the oppressed people of Balochistan despite the
unbecoming attitude of Akhtar Mengal

The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement Mr Altaf Hussain has said that Akhtar Mengal, son of veteran Baloch leader Sardar Ataullah Mengal, was helpless and he was holding meetings with political leaders by following a pre-written script and the name of the MQM was not included in the script. He said this while speaking at the inauguration of a telefilm “Naqeeb-i-Inquilab” in Lal Qila Ground in Azizabad.
Mr Hussain said that Akhtar Mengal and Sanullah Baloch had arrived in Islamabad and he welcomed their presence in Pakistan. He said that the MQM was the only political party that had organized a mammoth rally against the injustices done to Baloch people and the forced disappearances of Baloch youth.
Mr Hussain said that no other political party had the courage to raise a forceful voice against the inhuman oppression of the Baloch people but when the MQM contacted Akhtar Mengal and Sanullah Baloch in Islamabad on Friday and sought time for a meeting they avoided it by saying that they were leaving for Dubai the very same day. Senator Babar Khan Ghouri and MNA Haider Abbas Rizvi requested the Baloch leaders to extend their departure for a few hours but they declined and said that they have to leave for Dubai.
Mr Hussain said after declining the MQM Akhtar Mengal and Sanaullah Baloch held meetings on Saturday with Imran Khan, Makhdoom Jawed Hashmi and other people. It was obvious that Akhtar Mengal was helpless and he was following a pre-written script and the MQM was nowhere in the script handed down to him.
Mr Hussain said that the MQM would continue to support the oppressed people of Balochistan in spite of the unbecoming attitude of Akhtar Mengal.
