Rabita Committee postpones ultimatum after assurances given by the officials

 They hoped an impartial enquiry would be conducted.
A joint session of MQM’s Pakistan and London Committees was held on Monday evening. The participants of the meeting discussed in detail the 72 hour ultimatum given by MQM for the recovery of its workers who have become victims of enforced disappearances. 
They also discussed in detail about the assurances given by the Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah, former interior minister and Senator Rehman Malik and other officials regarding the recovery of workers. 
It was said in the meeting that no one could understand and feel the pain and agony of the missing workers. Recovery of workers and arrest of killers could console the bereaved families. It was agreed in the meeting that that government and department should be given opportunity to do their job. 
It was decided in the light of the assurances given by on official level to postpone the ultimatum. 
Rabita Committee hoped that the government could investigate into the extrajudicial murders of MQM workers. They hoped an impartial enquiry would be conducted in this regard and MQM workers would be recovered and those responsible for extrajudicial murders and enforced disappearances would be brought to justice.
