MQM’s Deputy Convener Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui has said that MQM has started its election campaign despite obstacles and reprisals. He added that historical gatherings on January 3 in Hyderabad and January 5 in Karachi would prove that the people of these cities love Mr. Hussain and they would always support him.
“The judgment given by Sindh High Court today is not a day of defeat. In fact, it is the day of victory of the oppressed people of Pakistan. The oppressed people of the country have received justice from an institution. The judgment is victory of people, justice, democracy and the state, “ Mr. Khalid Maqbool said.
“The Year will end tomorrow. We will enter into a new year. I hope the new year will bring bright things for us like new moon. The way today people of Pakistan has met with success in the court has raised our hopes. By the Grace of Allah the new year will be the year of people of Pakistan, year of truth and justice and the year of Mr. Hussain. We are thankful to Allah that our stance on the issue has proved right, “ Dr. Khalid said.
“ MQM’s people have endured difficult times, arrests , detentions and life in exile. Our era will begin from next year. We will have to make preparations for our era. I urge workers to remain united, “ Dr. Khalid said.
Dr. Khalid Maqbool said that some people tried to divide Sindh Province. Sindh is united because of the ideology of Mr. Hussain. He added MQM would not allow to drive wedge between the people of Sindh. He promised that MQM would bring development and prosperity if it got the chance again.
Mr. Khalid expressed these views while addressing office bearers of MQM’s Central wings, Sectors and units. Dr. Farooq Sattar and Rabita Committee member Kanwar Naveed Jamil also addressed the participants.
Dr. Farooq Sattar said welcomed the historical judgment of Sindh High Court. He added the judgment had reinforced the stance of MQM and other opposition parties, which was a victory of all forces struggle against injustices. He congratulated MQM’s legal team which headed by Senator Faroog Naseem which represented MQM.
“The year 2014 will be the year of Pakistan’s poor and middle class. It would be the year of success of Mr. Hussain’s ideology. It will be the year when you will receive good news (breaking news), “ Dr. Sattar said.
“Our rivals have broken all previous records of poll-rigging. We will set new records of public gatherings. People of Sindh will make Sindh a prosperous and peaceful province. We will create new jobs opportunities. We make Sindh’s cities neat and clean. Our rivals will not succeed in elections despite pre-poll rigging and delimitation of constituencies, “ Dr. Sattar said.
“MQM has decided to organize public gathering after a long time. These gathering will prove that people of Karachi are still with Mr. Hussain. Those who are conspiring bring their mayor in Karachi will come of their dreams because of these mammoth public gatherings. MQM is starting campaign for public gatherings today. This public gathering will break the record of all previous gatherings organized by MQM, “ Mr. Kanwar Naveed Jameel said.
