Mr. ALTAF HUSSAIN SADDENED ON DEATH OF BEGUM KULSUM NAWAZ
Muttahidda Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) founder and leader Mr. Altaf Hussain has expressed his profound grief over death of Begum Kulsum Nawaz, wife of ousted Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif in a hospital in London.
In his message of condolence, he said that she was a courageous woman and wife, who stood besides her husband, Sharif in all thick and thin. During imprisonment of her husband, she resisted against the authoritarians in Pakistan and kept the struggle alive in letter and spirit.
Her struggle for democracy in Pakistan would always be remembered in history, he added.
Her death is an irreparable, colossal loss for the entire Sharif family, said Mr. Hussain adding that his Movement, his affiliates are sad on her death and stand shoulder to shoulder with the aggrieved family. may the almighty Allah rest her soul in eternal peace in paradise.
The Movement’s founder questioned those politicians, turncoats and pseudo-intellectuals and biased TV anchorpersons what would they speak on her death because they always ridiculed her illness and always claimed she was perfectly healthy and only Sharif was exploiting her illness so that they could leave for London and stay there with comforts. they should be ashamed of their views and stances today, he remarked.
