Rangers violating law in Muhajir enmity: Altaf Hussain

LONDON, 19-08-2016:
The founder and leader of Muttahida Quami Movement Mr. Altaf Hussain said that the law enforcement agencies continuously violating the country’s constitution and human rights in Muhajirs and MQM’ enmity while the courts did not take any notice against such violations.

Talking to the participants of the hunger strike at Karachi Press Club MQM Chief Mr. Hussain said that the constitution and people’s rights were respected in civilized democratic countries with priority. He said that the Rangers and other law enforcement agencies never observed the law and stormed the houses of Muhajirs and MQM workers without any raid warrant and lady searchers.

He said that the MQM workers and supporters were being illegally arrested and forcefully disappeared by the law enforcement agencies and Rangers. He said that the arrested workers are being brutally tortured and murdered in extra-judicial killings after being booked in fake cases.

Mr. Hussain said that the constitution of Pakistan clearly directed the law enforcement agencies to present the arrested accused before the court within 24 hours but the Rangers and other LEAs abducted MQM workers and forcefully disappeared them without producing at the courts while their deprived families kept pleading to release their loved ones.

He said that when MQM expressed its concerns over the legislation to target the terrorists throughout the country, the federal ministers and officials of security institutions called London on behalf of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif to ensure the operation would not be against any political party. He said that the operation once again turned towards MQM and targeting Muhajirs.

MQM Chief said the Supreme Court categorically said in its verdict during Karachi unrest case that MQM, PPP, ANP, JI, ST, other political and religious parties had armed wings but the operation targeted MQM only. He said that the Rangers stormed MQM’s head-office Nine-Zero but never dare to go any other political parties’ offices involved in terrorism.

He said that the entire world knew the underneath facts about the Lyari gang war, Taliban terrorists, Haqiqi terrorists and Kamalo group but the Rangers could never pursue those terrorists. He thoroughly appreciated MQM workers and supporters for staging hunger strike against the ongoing operation and discrimination.
