MQM condemns seize of Farooq Sattar’s house

The Coordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement strongly condemned the unnecessary cordoned off the house of MQM Senior Parliamentary Leader Dr Farooq Sattar by the Rangers and announced a protest on tomorrow against the Rangers’ activism.
 
In a statement, the Coordination Committee appealed to the people to close their business activities and transports on Wednesday against such disgusting attitudes by the Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) in Karachi and all over the province. It said that the Rangers personnel attacked on Dr Farooq Sattar’s home and hit the door with riffles and boots to enter into the house.
 
The Committee said that the Rangers besieged the entire area for several hours and did not allow the residents to go to perform their Tarawee prayers. It said that after illegal and arbitrarily arrests of thousands of MQM workers and supporters in the name of Karachi operation, the Rangers now adventuring to arrests MQM’s senior member Dr Farooq Sattar.
 
The Coordination Committee declared that the Karachi operation was carried out and only aimed against MQM and should be condemned. It said that Dr Farooq’s Coordinator Aftab Ahmed was brutally killed in an extra-judicial murder and rather arresting the Rangers personnel involved in such heinous crime, Dr Farooq’s house was besieged.
 
The Committee appealed to the people to record their protest against such clear violation of constitution. It appealed people to shut their routine businesses and transport to let them know the strength of people’s mandate. It also appealed to the human rights organizations to support tomorrow’s call and participate in the peaceful demonstration.
