Why did CM Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah not order for arresting police officers involved in the murder of Waseem Dehlvi?: Altaf Hussain
PM Nawaz Sharif will have to answer for the extrajudicial murder of Waseem Dehlvi and other workers of MQM

MQM Founder and Leader Altaf Hussain has asked why the Chief Minister Sindh has only formed an inquiry committee on the extrajudicial murder of MQM worker Waseem Dehlvi. “Why have the police officers involved in this brutal killing not arrested and punished according to law?”
Mr Hussain said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif would have to answer for the extrajudicial killing of Waseem Dehlvi and other workers of the MQM. He will have to answer for the false charges brought against Amir Khan.
He said, “A Rangers officer had said that Amir Khan was being taken away as a guest and that he will be released after inquiry. But today a case has been registered against Amir Khan under the anti-terrorist law.”
”This proves that the Rangers officer had lied to the nation. One who lies to the nation in uniform has no right to wear the uniform. Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif should order a court martial of the Rangers officer who lied to the nation and demeaned his uniform.”
Mr Hussain expressed these views while addressing a gathering of MQM workers and office-bearers on the telephone in the small hours of Thursday. Members of the Co-ordination Committee, Senators, MNAs and MPAs were present on the occasion.
He said that great injustices were done during the state operation against the MQM. “Innocent workers were brutally tortured in custody. Their eyes were gouged out, and skins were removed. But none of the personnel belonging to Police, CID, CIA, Rangers, ISI, MI and other agencies who were involved in the extrajudicial killings of MQM workers was punished.”
“It is said that the MQM workers were killed in the basements of safe houses, but they forgot that Allah is All-seeing. He sees everything but gives time for repentance. People whose conscience has died refuse to repent and see nothing in the divine warnings.”
“The establishment makes false promises and gives false assurances that no raids would be conducted at the homes of MQM workers and party offices. But three days after this not only the raids started but one worker loses his life due to inhuman torture in custody.”
“Two days ago plain-clothes officials raided the house of Waseem Dehlvi and arrested him along with his two brothers Muhammad Naeem and Muhammad Adil. Waseem was brutally tortured resulting in his death, but the government officials claimed that he had died due to a heart attack. The post-mortem report, nevertheless, proved that the cause of death was an injury on the head due to a hard and blunt object.”
“I am a peaceful person and I have always preached people to forgive. I advise MQM workers even today to forgive all those who have harmed them. Allah loves those who forgive others mistakes.”
“When I speak candidly the established gets affronted. My addresses on television channels have been banned, but I care least about it. Those who are doing injustices to us by virtue of their power will be held accountable for their crimes one day. The ways of Allah are silent, but the tyrant cannot escape punishment from Allah.”
“Someone had said Altaf Hussain’s chapter has been closed. But Allah closed his chapter.”
“A senior politician in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was presented in the court with handcuffs when he was accused of murder. But the killers of Waseem Dehlvi have only been suspended. Why were these officials, who are involved in the killing of Waseem Dehlvi, not arrested and proceeded against according to law?”
“If I had been in Qaim Ali Shah’s places, either I would have ordered the removal of DG Rangers or head of the Special Branch or I would have given resignations as a mark of protest.”
Mr Hussain said that the MQM would continue its struggle peacefully in spite of great injustices and oppression.
