KARACHI - A central leader of Sindh National Party, Mumtaz Hussain Bhumbro on Tuesday joined Muttahida Qaumi Movement. He said that he was highly impressed with the just struggle launched by MQM chief Altaf Hussain for the rights of 98 per cent oppressed and suppressed people of the country.
He announced his joining at a meeting with the members of MQM Coordination Committee Javed Kazmi and Shakir Ali at Azizabad’s Khursheed Begum Secretariat here the other day.
Muttahida Social Forum’s In-charge, Long Khan Channa, Joint In-charge Ahmed Saleem Siddiqui, members Yousuf Muneer Shaikh, Shehzad Ahmed Rahi and Haji Shafiqur Rehman were also present on the occasion. Bhumbhro said that it was his firm belief that Altaf Hussain, who was born in Sindh, could alone steer the country out of prevailing crises and impasse.
Rejecting the so-called propaganda of the vested-interests that the MQM was an ethnic party, he said that as a matter of fact that those labeling MQM as an ethnic party were themselves behind the conspiracy of ethnic riots. On the occasion, he vowed to do his utmost to promote the Haq Parasts’ mission, motive and ideology. Welcoming Bhumbro in the fold of MQM, Kazmi and Shakir Ali said that Bhumbro’s decision of joining the MQM was a good omen for the struggle launched by the party for the rights of oppressed people.
