KARACHI: Deputy Convener of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Dr Farooq Sattar on Tuesday said that May 11 general elections would prove last nail in the coffin of feudalism.
He was speaking at the inauguration ceremony of Shahrah-e-Patang and beautification of different intersections completed in North Nazimabad with the funds of former Haq Parast MPA, Abdul Moeed Sidiqui, said a statement issued here on Tuesday.
Dr Farooq Sattar also kicked off the MQM's election campaign on the occasion by hoisting the party flag.
A rally also followed the event which was participated by office-bearers and workers of MQM North Nazimabad Sector.
Dr Farooq Sattar said that it was for the first time that the MQM is fully taking part in elections from all parts of Pakistan with the determination that it would emerge victorious from the entire country.
He said that the country would achieve peace and tranquility while health and other facilities would improve considerably by implementing Altaf Hussain's election manifesto in the letter and spirit.
Besides, job opportunities would be created with the implementation of the MQM agenda and hence the youths of the country would not be seeking visas of USA, Canada, Britain and other countries.
