Friday, March 29, 2013 - Karachi—The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain appealed to the people to donate generously in the MQM Elections Fund for bringing a real change in the country.
He said that the MQM was the only representative political party of the poor and middle-class people and all party expenses were defrayed by public donations.
The MQM was striving for bringing a positive and real change in the country for which it stands in need of financial support from the public, he said, appealing to the people to contribute generously in the elections fund so that genuine public representatives could get elected to the assemblies.
Meanwhile, the MQM Chief said that the MQM contestants had set a record of filing thenomination papers in shortest possible time despite the complexes and lengthy procedures for filling in the nomination papers. The MQM contestants deserved due appreciation, he added.
He said that the nomination papers were quite complex and difficult to fill in without errors but the MQM elections cell had performed extra-ordinary for timely submission of the nominationforms from Karachi, Sindh, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtoonkhawa and Balochistan.
